Project Management

I brought together teams of people to create two record-breaking, unified end products and built campaigns to market them.

The Goal:

For two years, I was project manager for Vineyard Church’s “church-wide series” that launched during Christmas Eve services with the goal of increasing attendance and expand our reach by inviting people to host small groups with their circles of influence.

These series were uniquely branded and included a 50 day devotional book, special edition worship CD and Spotify playlists, small group teachings on DVD and YouTube, small group leader training materials and other items. Each item needed to coordinate both visually and in content.

  • My Role:

I brought together teams of staff members and volunteers for these series and reported directly to senior leadership. I was intimately involved in all areas from setting visual and copywriting tone to keeping everyone’s tasks on schedule. I also co-wrote devotionals and worked as production assistant for our cover artwork.

  • Marketing:

I worked with our communications team to create a strategy and content schedule to launch the series and promote continued participation throughout. This included website updates, social media posts, a rotating schedule of print material, weekly printed brochures and paid ads. My role as project manager overlapped with my role as social media director so I created all digital content for the series.

  • The Results:

Both years I served as project manager, we saw growth in attendance during the campaign. The first year I was involved, we doubled our attendance during the church-wide series. My work on the project introduced enough pre-planning to be able to create our own, custom artwork to create an end product that was 100% owned by us. We improved our timelines year after year to allow more volunteers to get involved and be more efficiently launch a major campaign while simultaneously managing our busiest season at Christmas.
